Alexandre Pato's injury problems may have been made worse by doctors at former club AC Milan, according to the Brazilian national team's chief medic.

Pato, 23, returned to his homeland earlier this month, completing a €15 million transfer to Corinthians after making just 15 league appearances for the Rossoneri over the last two seasons.
The Brazil international has suffered a seemingly endless succession of injuries and medic Jose Luis Runco believes the San Siro club may have mistreated the player, causing him to miss more games than necessary.
"In my view, in the past Pato has been rushed back onto the field too quickly, or Milan got the treatment for his muscles wrong while he was out of action," Runco said.
"I have seen other cases like Pato's. With the right course of action and if the player collaborates with medics, I usually don't see any big problems."
It is not the first time the Serie A club have been accused of mishandling recovering Selecao stars, as those treating Kaka and Ronaldo also complained at the way the Milan medics had worked with their players in the past.
