Capello wants England clash

Russia manager Fabio Capello is hopeful of going head-to-head with his former side England at the 2014 World Cup.

Capello was in charge of England for four years before parting company with the nation in February 2012 after a disagreement with the Football Association.

The Italian has since taken over as Russia boss, with the country currently top of their qualifying group for the forthcoming World Cup.

Speaking at the celebration of the FA's 150th anniversary, Capello insisted his relations with England are positive and he hopes to meet them at the tournament in Brazil, should both teams qualify.

He is quoted by the Daily Star as saying: "We are all friends now. It is was very good to come back and see the people I used to work with. I have no problems with anyone.

"I still like coming back to London, I have a house here and I've been back a few times.

"You know I can't talk about what happened with England but I am enjoying my life with Russia and my hope is that we play England in Brazil at the World Cup. That would be very good, I think."
