Gunners leave out first-team regulars

ESPN staff

Arsenal will rest several first-team regulars when they take on Olympiakos in their final Champions League group game on Tuesday.

With Arsenal assured of qualification for the competition's last 16, Arsene Wenger - under fire from disgruntled fans following Saturday's 2-0 home defeat to Swansea - has left out Theo Walcott, Jack Wilshere, Lukas Podolski, Santi Cazorla, Mikel Arteta and Per Mertesacker.

He could give debuts to young players including Zak Ansah, Sead Hajrovic, Elton Monteiro, Chuba Akpom and James Shea.

Reports claimed that, after the Swansea game, Wenger had pointed the finger of blame at Thomas Vermaelen, Gervinho and Carl Jenkinson - all of whom are in the squad for the trip to Greece.

Provisional Arsenal squad: Szczesny, Vermaelen, Rosicky, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Ramsey, Squillaci, Coquelin, Arshavin, Jenkinson, Gervinho, Chamakh, Angha, Ansah, Hajrovic, Meade, Monteiro, Shea, Akpom.
