Koscielny facing three weeks out

ESPN staff

Laurent Koscielny is set to miss up to three weeks after suffering an injury in the Premier League game at Everton.

Koscielny, 27, was replaced by Kieron Gibbs in the fourth minute, and manager Arsene Wenger confirmed the bad news afterwards.

"He has a groin strain. That's usually three weeks," he said.

It means the Frenchman is likely to miss the Premier League games against Swansea, West Brom and Reading as well as the Champions League game with Olympiakos and the Capital One Cup quarter-final against Bradford.

Meanwhile, Wenger has called for his side to develop a greater cutting edge in attack after watching them draw for the third time in four league games.

"Hopefully, we can go from strength to strength. We have the spirit. I feel we have some room for improvement in the final third," he said.

"Overall, when you have the spirit, you have a chance. We have to show that now. We have to be consistent."
