Match abandoned as fireworks fly

The Apertura match between Independiente and Belgrano Cordoba was abandoned before the start of the second half after Belgrano goalkeeper Juan Olave was struck by a firework thrown from the stands.

Independiente were trailing 1-0 following Jorge Velazquez's 42nd minute strike when trouble in the crowd boiled over.

Olave was felled by the firework, and the referee immediately took the players off.

Belgrano were seeking a victory to maintain their pursuit of the Apertura leaders, while Independiente are mired in trouble at the opposite end of the table.

Elsewhere, All Boys and Colon Santa Fe shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw, Juan Rodriguez scoring seconds into the second half for All Boys to cancel out Sebastian Prediger's 32nd minute opener.

River Plate played out a goalless draw away to Atletico Rafaela.
