ESPN.com news services

The younger sister of Zenit star Hulk, Angelica Aparecida Vieira, was returned to her home Tuesday after an alleged kidnapping Monday in Campina Grande, in the northeast Brazilian state of Paraiba, according to Brazilian police reports.

The 22-year-old, who according to police, was taken by force from her car by two armed men when she was parked in front of a restaurant on Monday, was seen entering her residence Tuesday by journalists seeking information about the case.

The family of the Brazilian national team forward confirmed Tuesday that Vieira was at home, but did not offer details.

Marcos Vilela, a chief of police of the region, said the family informed him that the young woman had been returned to her home. He said an investigation is pending.

Information from Efe News Agency was used in this report.
