Brazil name strong squad for Colombia

ESPN staff

Kaka has retained his place in the Brazil squad for the country's friendly against Colombia in the USA next month.

Real Madrid midfielder Kaka, who returned to the national side last month, is one of a number of European-based players to be included alongside the likes of Chelsea trio Oscar, Ramires and David Luiz, Zenit forward Hulk and Tottenham midfielder Sandro.

However, unlike the friendly squad named a year ago, a number of Brazil-based players are included despite the potential disruption to Brasileiro campaigns.

The match will take place at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on November 14 to celebrate the Brazil national team's 1,000th game.

Coach Mano Menezes warned that Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao will pose a major threat and added: "Colombia have had a great qualifying campaign and will be a good test for us to know where we are now. It should be one of the toughest games of the year."

Squad: Diego Alves (Valencia), Jefferson (Botafogo), Daniel Alves (Barcelona), Thiago Silva (Paris Saint Germain), David Luiz (Chelsea), Leandro Castan (Roma), Rever (Atletico Mineiro), Adriano (Barcelona), Fabio Santos (Corinthians), Paulinho (Corinthians), Sandro (Tottenham Hotspur), Ramires (Chelsea), Arouca (Santos), Kaka (Real Madrid), Giuliano (FC Dnipro), Lucas (Sao Paulo), Hulk (Zenit St Petersburg), Oscar (Chelsea), Neymar (Santos), Leandro Damiao (Internacional), Thiago Neves (Fluminense).
