Harry Harris, Football Correspondent

Former Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola is again being linked with a move to Chelsea after intimating that he could make his return to football in London.

• Fergie: It's a three-horse race

ESPN sources believe Stamford Bridge is his most likely destination unless Arsenal were to make a definite move.

It is thought the Gunners are monitoring his situation in the event that Arsene Wenger opts to call time on his long career in North London.

Arsenal have again been linked with Guardiola, who is taking a break from football for a year, with Wenger contracted to the club for only one more season.

But rumours persist that unless Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo continues to meet Roman Abramovich's demands for success, Guardiola could be approached with a money no object offer.

In the summer, ESPN revealed that Abramovich had indicated to Guardiola that even a £20 million-a-year contract would be possibe if the Spaniard came to the Bridge.

Guardiola, along with Jose Mourinho, has also been heavily linked with the Manchester United job whenever Sir Alex Ferguson decides to step down.
