Former Fenerbahce midfielder Alex has confirmed he will return to Brazil to play for Coritiba, the club where he started his career.

Alex exited Fenerbahce last month and, after being pursued by a host of clubs in Europe and South America, opted to move back to Coritiba.
The club have signed Alex on a free transfer and will unveil the 35-year-old to their supporters this Thursday.
"I've always dreamed of my return, but I'm insignificant comparing to Coritiba and its supporters. Now we all need to make this dream come true," Alex said.
"For all of you that dream about a strong and victorious Coritiba, I ask that you'll be at Couto Thursday afternoon."
After starting his professional career in 1995, Alex won 49 caps for Brazil and and also impressed during his time at Palmeiras, Flamengo, Parma, Cruzeiro before starring for Fenerbahce for eight years.
