Solskjaer rules out Bolton job

Ole Gunnar Solksjaer has confirmed he is not interested in filling the managerial vacancy at Bolton Wanderers.

Former Manchester United striker Solskjaer has been one of the names linked with the Reebok Stadium hot seat ever since Owen Coyle was sacked last week. But Solskjaer, who led current club Molde to their first ever Norwegian title in his first season as a manager last term, confirmed he is out of the running for the job at the Championship club.

"There will always be speculation when someone in England needs a new manager," he told Norwegian newspaper Romsdals Budstikke. There are surely 20 names who have been linked with Bolton now and it's natural that mine is among them. But it's not for me.

"Blackburn, Bolton, rumours crop up all the time. But I'm not that bothered about them. I'm absolutely certain I will see out the season here (with Molde), I can promise that."

Solskjaer turned down an approach from Aston Villa last summer after holding talks with the club.

Although the 39-year-old has pledged to stay until the end of the season, in reality there is just a month of the Norwegian campaign left. Molde are currently at the top of the table, two points clear of Rosenborg with five matches of the season remaining.
