Former Tottenham player Ronnie Hawkins is on trial at Ajax after leaving White Hart Lane in the summer.
Hawkins, 18, played in a Ajax Under-21 game on Wednesday, watched by first team coach Frank de Boer, and is hoping to earn a contract at the Amsterdam Arena.
The Irish youth international, who spent part of the summer at Norwich, where former Spurs coach Chris Hughton is manager, played alongside first-team players including Derk Boerrigter in Wednesday's match.
Hawkins is not the first teenager to be taken on trial by Ajax following his release by an English club; Aston Villa academy graduate Harry Forrester turned out for the Amsterdam giants' youth team last year, though he did not end up signing a permanent deal and now plays for League One side Brentford.
