John Terry (knee) practices Monday

Press Association

John Terry looks set to be fit for the first game of Chelsea's Champions League defense after coming through a training session on Monday.

Terry needed treatment on a knee injury in the dying moments of a fiery west London derby against Queens Park Rangers on Saturday.

That raised fears the England defender would not be able to take to the field for Wednesday's home clash against Juventus.

But he participated in a training session at the Blues' headquarters in Cobham and should be fit to face the Italian giants.

John Obi Mikel, meanwhile, suffered a slight back injury during a 0-0 draw at Loftus Road, but will be fit for Wednesday's game and Juan Mata trained through the weekend as he looks to return to full fitness for the game at Stamford Bridge.
