Portugal international Meireles has put pen to paper on a four-year contract after completing his medical in Turkey on Monday.

A fee has not been revealed but reports suggest the deal to take the 29-year-old to the Sukru Saracoglu Stadium could be worth around 8 million.

Meireles had been linked with a reunion with former Blues boss Andre Villas-Boas at Tottenham, but has completed his move to the Istanbul club before the Turkish transfer window closes on Wednesday.

"Chelsea Football Club thanks Raul for the part he played in such an historic and successful year, and wishes him well at his new club," said a statement on the Blues' website.

Meireles will link up with former Liverpool team-mate Dirk Kuyt at Fenerbahce.
