Inter Milan have announced the signing of Uruguay international Walter Gargano from Napoli.

Gargano, 28, joins on loan for a reported €1.5 million and Inter have the option to make the deal permanent for a reported €5 million. The midfielder has agreed a four-year deal with the Nerazzurri if Inter decide to buy him outright.
A statement on Inter's official website read: "F.C. Internazionale would like to welcome Walter Gargano to the club. All of the documentation regarding the loan deal for the SSC Napoli player has been handed in to Lega Serie A, with Inter having an option to make the deal permanent. The player has a signed a four-year contract."
Inter are also reported to be close to the signing of Uruguay left-back Alvaro Pereira from Porto for €10 million.
