Roma have completed the loan signing of Corinthians youngster Marquinhos with a view to a permanent move, according to reports in Brazil.
Marquinhos, 18, has forced his way into the Corinthians first-team in 2012 and his performances earned him a place as a reserve for Brazil's London 2012 Olympic squad.
The 2011 Brazil Under-17 captain will join the Serie A giants on a one-year loan, with an agreed fee in the region of €6 million should they wish to make it a long-term move.
The Copa Libertadores winner will join former team-mate Leandro Castan at the Stadio Olimpico, with the more experienced centre-back having joined Roma earlier this summer.
A regular for his country at youth levels, Marquinhos has long been a target for European clubs with his composure in defence a rarity for a player of his age.
Elsewhere, Diario de Sao Paulo report that former Tottenham loanee Bruno Uvini will join Napoli in the coming days. The defender recently participated in the Olympic Games, making a solitary appearance in the semi-final against Korea.
