Real Madrid thrashed LA Galaxy 5-1 at the Home Depot Center as they opened a four-game tour of the US in style.

Friendly: LA Galaxy 1-5 Real Madrid
Jose Mourinho's side took less than two minutes to signal their intentions when Angel Di Maria provided the opening goal for Gonzalo Higuain with a pass from the right. Before the ten-minute mark had been reached, Di Maria had made it two with a fierce shot.
David Beckham's free-kick was bundled in by David Junior Lopes as Galaxy pulled one back, but hopes of a comeback were short-lived as Real made it three after 36 minutes when Jose Maria Callejon finished off a sweeping counter-attack.
After the break, goals from Alvaro Morata and Alex Fernandez completed the rout in front of a stadium record football attendance of 30, 317.
Mourinho said he was pleased with his team's attitude and described the game as "a training session for them and for us".
"Galaxy is a kind of team that is not too worried about losing, 4-1 or losing 1-0," he added. "They're just worried about playing, playing well. Play their game, let us play and, at this moment of the season, it's the most important thing for us."
The match - in keeping with the "training session" feel - saw both managers make plenty of changes. Madrid stars including Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and Mesut Ozil played in the second half, while Galaxy fielded an entirely different team after the break.
The remaining matches of the Real Madrid tour see them take Santos Laguna, AC Milan and Celtic in three different cities.
