Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has quashed reports that the Bavarian club are looking to sign Juventus star Andrea Pirlo.
Pirlo, 33, was one of the stand-out performers at this summer's European Championship, prompting reports in Italy that Bayern were ready to make an offer for the player.
Rummenigge, though, denies that the club have had discussions with any other party over a potential move.
"FC Bayern have neither made an offer to Juventus, nor have FC Bayern had any contact with the player or his agent,'' Rummenigge told Bayern's official website.
Bayern have already made six new signings, including Switzerland midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri, this window, and are not thought to be looking to add any more players before the start of the season.
