Constant eyes long Milan stay

Guinea midfielder Kevin Constant is hoping to make the most of his loan move to AC Milan, in order to secure a permanent deal at the San Siro next summer.

Constant, 25, only moved to Genoa for €7 million last summer, but has been unveiled at Milan on a one-year loan deal, with the option to buy for an undisclosed fee in the next 12 months.

"I am delighted to be at Milan," Constant told Sky Italia after completing his medical on Thursday. "I knew about Milan's interest two weeks ago and now I am here. I can't wait to play and prove my value at Milan. I hope I can win a title with Milan next season."

The former Chateauroux midfielder has been brought in as midfield cover after Sulley Muntari tore his cruciate ligament earlier this summer. The Ghanaian midfielder is expected to miss six months of action after surgery.
