Napoli have insisted that Manchester City target Edinson Cavani is not for sale this summer.
Cavani has made a huge impression in the past couple of seasons for Napoli and has emerged as a target for Premier League champions City. Chelsea are also rumoured to be keeping tabs on the Uruguayan's situation, but it would appear his Serie A paymasters have no intention of selling.
"I can confirm that Cavani is not for sale at any price," Napoli sporting director Riccardo Bigon told Corriere dello Sport. "The president has made it clear to everybody what he feels about this."
Cavani's agent said earlier in the year that the 25-year-old had no desire to engineer a move away from Napoli and no talks are planned between player and club.
Bigon said: "We don't have any meetings scheduled to discuss his future. There's no need to talk about it."
