Real Mallorca have agreed the signing of left-back Antonio Lopez on an initial two-year contract.

Lopez, 30, emerged from Atletico Madrid's youth academy and, aside from a two-year loan spell with Osasuna, has spent his entire career with the club.

However, he was released in May after 343 official appearances for the club and has now joined Mallorca.

A statement on the club's official website read: "Antonio Lopez has reached an agreement with the club to be their first signing of the 2012-13 season.

"The 30-year-old defender will sign for two seasons with the option of another and will be presented this afternoon at 1730 (local time) at the Iberostar stadium."

Lopez won the Europa League with Atletico in 2010 and 2012.
