Swansea swoop for Dos Santos - report

ESPN staff

Swansea are preparing to move for Tottenham forward Giovani Dos Santos, according to Press Association Sport reports.

• Dos Santos seeking Spurs talks

Dos Santos' contract with Spurs expires next summer, but after failing to become a first-team regular under Harry Redknapp the Mexico international is seeking more game time elsewhere. Swansea boss Brendan Rodgers is understood to be an admirer of Dos Santos as he was in attendance for Mexico's 2-0 win over Wales in New York last Sunday.

It is understood that any move for Dos Santos would be a loan deal, with Swansea set to break their transfer record to bring midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson to the club on a permanent basis. The Swans agreed a fee of £6.8 million with Hoffenheim for Sigurdsson.

Dos Santos, 23, is set to hold talks over his future with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy following Mexico's ongoing United States tour.
