Kraft to stay put

Hertha Berlin goalkeeper Thomas Kraft has promised not to jump ship, even if the club are relegated from the Bundesliga this season.

Hertha need to beat Hoffenheim on Saturday to stand any chance of staying up, but with the prospect of an immediate return to the Second Division growing, Kraft has shown his commitment to the club.

"One thing is certain either way, I am very happy in Berlin and will be staying with Hertha and our super fans no matter what happens," he said on the club's website.

"I have agreed that with the club. I am absolutely convinced that we will win on Saturday and stay up."

Kraft joined Hertha from Bayern Munich at the start of the season and his show of commitment to the club has been welcomed by their director of sport Michael Preetz.

"We are very pleased that we will be continuing together with Thomas Kraft," he said.
