Moyes yet to open Pienaar talks

Everton boss David Moyes insists no talks have taken place over the future of Steven Pienaar, who is on loan at the club from Tottenham.

Pienaar, 30, left Goodison Park for Spurs in 2011, but failed to cement a first-team place and returned to the Toffees in January until the end of the season.

Since then, Pienaar has played an integral role in Everton's fine recent run, contributing seven assists and scoring three times in 11 Premier League starts - just at the same time as the wheels have come off Tottenham's season.

Moyes has praised Pienaar's impact and hinted that he would like to make his stay permanent, yet he is holding off on any approach - until the summer at least.

"You're probably going to ask me at every press conference and I'm going to give the same answer that I genuinely don't think anything will be even talked about until after the end of the season," Moyes said.
