Chelsea's interim manager Roberto Di Matteo is anticipating a tough test against Champions League quarter-final opponents Benfica.
• UCL draw: Milan to face Barca
Friday's draw paired Chelsea with Benfica after the Blues emphatically overcame Napoli in the last-16 this week.
Should the Premier League side advance into the final four of Europe's most prestigious competition they will face the victor of AC Milan versus Barcelona.
Di Matteo has rejected suggestions Chelsea have been handed a relatively simple task against Benfica, who slayed Zenit St Petersburg in the previous round.
He said: "When you get down to the last eight teams, any draw is difficult. I've seen Benfica many times. They were in Man United's group. It's a tough game for us. I think the fact that we play the first game away for us is good."
Di Matteo also refused to contemplate a potential semi-final against Barcelona. "Are you writing off AC Milan straight away, as easy as that - the leaders of Serie A?" he said. "(We will take it) game by game. That's what I've learnt in my playing career and my coaching career."
The first leg at Estadio da Luz will take place on March 27 and the second leg at Stamford Bridge is scheduled for April 4.
