Rossi seeking silverware

Giuseppe Rossi's agent has suggested the striker could consider leaving Villarreal in search of silverware.

• Rossi suffers knee injury

Italy international Rossi, who turned 25 on Wednesday, was strongly linked with a move during the summer, with Barcelona and Juventus both having expressed an interest in his services.

With Villarreal currently sitting 18th in La Liga, agent Federico Pastorello has indicated that Rossi may look elsewhere come the end of the season.

"At the age of 25 he has the desire to win something and to do that you need to be playing in an important club," Pastorello said. "I'm not saying that Villarreal are not an important club, but to win the Champions League or a championship then you have to be playing for one of the top five or six clubs in the world."

Rossi is currently sidelined with a knee ligament injury.
