• Swans set to sign Donnelly
Swansea have long made clear their interest in Donnelly, but recent reports of interest from Liverpool and Everton suggested they may face competition for his signature.
However, the 19-year-old showed a preference for Swansea and, having agreed personal terms and completed a medical, will now finalise his move on January 1 when the transfer window reopens.
Swansea manager Brendan Rodgers said: "We are delighted to be able to attract one of Northern Ireland's biggest talents. I am really looking forward to helping Rory fulfil his potential and, hopefully, over the next few years ensure that Swansea City has another exciting young player blossoming at the club."
Donnelly has signed a contract with Swansea until 2015. The fee has not been disclosed.
