Premier Showdown - Dec 20-22
A storming victory for Dale Johnson last weekend put him back in contention with the Rest of the World team, just six points behind.
The ROTW may be top at Christmas, but Dale could yet go into the New Year back on top of the table.
Before we head into Christmas we have a midweek round of games, and joining us in Showdown will be Dave Wood, who is a Manchester United fan, age 29, who has been a Town Planner for the last seven years. He lives in Aylesbury, here in the UK.
Let's see how our players get on.
For each round of matches we invite someone to represent the Rest of the World and take on Press Pass' Tommy Smyth and ESPNsoccernet journalist Dale Johnson in our predictions game.
Points are then awarded as follows:
• Three points for a correct result and scoreline
• One point for a correct result
After the weekend's scores are in and the Showdown result has been worked out, the winning pundit receives three points for their season's total.
Should the challenger win, the total is added to the Rest of the World tally. In the case of a draw, the points are shared.
So close, but Tommy needed the correct scoreline at White Hart Lane and not just the result. Yet another win for the Rest of the World.
Table after Round 17
Rest of the World: 27
Best week's total of season: 13, Dale Johnson
Final table 2010-11
Rest of the World: 22.5
Best week's total of season: 13, Tommy Smyth (from eight fixtures).
So do you think you can beat the best of the best? Now is your chance to find out!
