Palermo coach Gian Piero Gasperini has launched another attack on his former club Inter Milan ahead of his side's trip to the San Siro tomorrow.

The former Genoa coach lasted just five games on the Nerazzurri bench a year ago and was chastised for insisting on using a three-man defence.

That very same system is now being implemented successfully by his successor Andrea Stramaccioni and Gasperini feels he was not given the same respect when he was on the Inter bench.

"When I tried (the three-man defence), all I got was criticism while now, all I hear there is praise,'' he said in Tuttosport newspaper.

"I am not upset about being sacked because of the results, even if things did not change for a while after I left.

"I am more disappointed by the behaviour of (president Massimo) Moratti, who was extremely incorrect in his actions and has said some nasty words about me.''

It should not be difficult for Gasperini to find motivation for tomorrow's trip north, then, as he looks to get one over Inter, and Moratti.

He is lacking arguably his side's most influential player, though, with Fabrizio Miccoli suspended, although his replacement in recent matches, Paulo Dybala, has shown plenty of promise.

The 19-year-old can now show his skills off to a potential suitor at the San Siro.

One man who has not been able to display his talent lately is Wesley Sneijder, who has been marginalised by Inter for ignoring their offer of a new contract.

"The club has been very clear and I think Sneijder knows what he wants to do,'' said Inter captain Javier Zanetti, hinting that the Dutchman could leave the club in the winter.

"It's now up to the two to reach an agreement.

"I have spoken with Sneijder and told him what I wanted to say from my heart. I have a great relationship with him and he has made history with Inter.

"We need everybody, but it is up to the coach who he picks.''
