Coach Mike Buskens wants Greuther Furth to build on scoring their first goal of the season at the Furth Arena and their first point on home soil by beating Borussia Monchengladbach tomorrow.

A 1-1 draw against Werder Bremen ended a run of four consecutive defeats at home and Buskens hopes his side's run of three draws in a row will end tomorrow, in a positive way.

"We want to win and have got to attack if we want to do that,'' said Buskens.

"It's only logical that we now want to take the next step after scoring our first goal at home and getting our first point here, even though we are aware we are up against a team with a lot of character who never lie down.''

Gladbach's powers of recovery were underlined on Thursday when they scored a late equaliser against Marseille to remain on course for a place in the knockout stage of the Europa League.

"It felt like a win in Marseille and that has given us even more self-confidence,'' defender Tony Jantschke told the club website.

"We now hope that we can win in Furth too.''

Juan Arango, who has played a part in 16 of Gladbach's 24 goals in all competitions this season, and scored the equaliser in France, is one player who is unlikely to be given a rest tomorrow, but coach Lucien Favre may rotate his team slightly.

Gerald Asamoah is Furth's only doubt, but Buskens said he was optimistic that the former Germany international would be fit.

Victory in Bavaria would be a landmark for Gladbach, who have picked up 599 victories in the top flight of German football.

Furth have a long way to go to match that having won only once in the history of the Bundesliga.
