Fleetwood boss Micky Mellon continues to be without injured trio Steven Gillespie, Jon Parkin, and Andy Mangan for the visit of Accrington.

Gillespie is making a good recovery from a hamstring injury and is close to a return to the side but will not be risked against Stanley.

Fellow striker Parkin has a hamstring problem, while Mangan is still at least four months away from a return from a knee injury.

With attacking options limited, David Ball and Tom Barkhuizen are expected to keep their places in the front line.

Meanwhile, defender Anthony Barry continues to struggle with a knee problem that has ruled him out of first-team action since August 2011.

Crystal Palace loanee Alex Marrow is unwell and is another doubt for the game against Leam Richardson's men.

James Beattie will be in Accrington manager Leam Richardson's thoughts as he ponders his starting line-up.

The former England striker made his Reds debut as a 79th-minute substitute in Friday's 1-1 draw at Barnet and Richardson will have to determine whether the player-coach has the necessary match fitness to start.

The 34-year-old has not started a league game since May 5 but will be a tempting option as the visitors seek to end a run which has seen them win just one of their last eight league games.

Richardson will be without loanee Rob Atkinson, who is ineligible for the trip to face his parent club.

The defender has been an ever-present since making the switch to the Crown Ground but his absence will give an opportunity to either Michael Liddle or Aristote Nsiala.

The Accrington manager has no other injury or suspension concerns.
