Barnsley manager Keith Hill has a decision to make in attack for the derby with Huddersfield on Saturday.

Hill is in the market for a new striker and was hoping to have a loan deal tied up on Friday after seeing his first choice Simon Church join the Terriers.

If he is unsuccessful in his recruitment drive it could mean a recall for Marlon Harewood who has been on the bench for the last two away games, though scored in the Reds' last outing at Oakwell a fortnight ago.

Hill could also introduce a number of other fresh faces for the clash. Teenage defender John Stones was rested for the midweek defeat at Derby and should return to the frame, while Jim O'Brien is pushing for a first start since the opening day of the season following his shoulder injury.

Toni Silva is also eyeing a home debut after being on the bench in the last two matches and Matty Done is another potential option for Hill.

Craig Davies (hamstring) is close to a return to training, though David Perkins faces six weeks out with a similar injury.

Huddersfield's new loan signing Simon Church could make his debut.

Reading striker Church joined for an initial month in time to be included in manager Simon Grayson's plans after turning down a move to Oakwell and could start as both Jermaine Beckford and James Vaughan are still doubtful.

Beckford, on loan from Leicester, has missed the last two games due a hamstring strain but is the likelier to be involved, while Vaughan is still struggling with a recurrence of a thigh injury sustained recently in training.

Defender Jack Hunt is available again following his two-game ban for foul and abusive language and is expected to start, while manager Grayson has no other new injury or suspension problems.

Midfielder Oscar Gobern is still sidelined following ankle surgery as the Terriers look to climb back into the top six.
