Paris St Germain midfielder Clement Chantome believes tomorrow's Ligue 1 clash at reigning champions Montpellier is the ideal game to re-focus on their own title tilt.
Coach Carlo Ancelotti's side suffered a shock first league defeat of the season last weekend, losing 2-1 at home to St Etienne.
PSG managed to bounce back in emphatic fashion on Tuesday night by thumping Dinamo Zagreb 4-0 at the Parc des Princes to leave them a point away from qualifying for the last 16 of the Champions League.
Heading to a Montpellier side struggling to defend their title this season as they languish in 14th, just four points above the bottom three, PSG will undoubtedly start clear favourites for the victory.
Appreciating the "bad match'' against St Etienne, Chantome said: "We know at heart we need to produce a big performance on Sunday.
"Montpellier are not at their best at the moment, but they are bound to be very motivated to pursue us.
"Ideally, we need to play the same way we did against Zagreb in the second half, but despite that we're expecting a huge game.
"We'll have to be united and to play with maximum intensity to win against a good team.
"We're going there to take the three points after our first defeat in the league, we all want this, and this is the ideal match to focus people's minds.''
PSG, however, will be without the league's leading scorer in 10-goal Zlatan Ibrahimovic for two matches following his sending off against St Etienne.
Although conceding Ibrahimovic's absence is a major loss, Chantome has no doubt PSG will cope, in particular given Guillaume Hoarau has scored in his last two matches.
"Without such a player as Ibra, the team is obviously weakened,'' added Chantome.
"He is a great player, decisive, and of course, we would prefer him to be there, but we can live without him.
"We have players who can replace him given their qualities and we can win this game.
"Guillaume gave the best answer recently, scoring in the last two matches. In the words of the coach (Ancelotti), he behaves like a true professional when it's game time.''
For Montpellier, whose exit from the Champions League was confirmed on Tuesday with a 3-1 defeat at Olympiacos, their focus will now have to revert back to the league programme.
Coach Rene Girard's side have already lost five league matches this season, compared to six in the entire campaign last campaign en route to winning the title.
