Yoann Poulard believes Ajaccio are back on track ahead of tomorrow's Ligue 1 clash with Sochaux.

The Corsicans beat Toulouse 4-2 last weekend to secure their first victory in five matches after defeats by Lille and Marseille and draws with Bastia and Lorient, the latter an eight-goal thriller.

It was a timely three points that kept them three points above 18th spot, which is currently occupied by tomorrow's opponents.

Defender Poulard admitted Ajaccio's good start to the season may have gone to their heads but he was delighted with the response last weekend.

The 36-year-old told "We found the Ajaccio we know, with its values and fighting spirit. In the last matches against Bastia and during the second half against Lorient and Marseille, we perhaps lost some of our focus.

"As we saw that things were going well since the beginning of the season, we unconsciously made a little less effort.

"In Toulouse, after the twist of fate that saw us concede the first goal, we were able to find the mental resources to stay in the game and win.''

Ajaccio will be without midfielder Johan Cavalli, who serves the final game of a suspension.

Sochaux added to their ranks this week with the signing of Gabon international goalkeeper Didier Ovono, although he will not be available against Ajaccio.

Ovono, who had been unattached, has signed a deal until the end of the season after a successful trial and will provide cover after the knee injury suffered by Pierrick Cros.
