Lorient coach Christian Gourcuff concedes his side are out of form and has called on his troops to raise their game for tomorrow's Ligue 1 encounter with Toulouse.
After a strong start to the campaign, Lorient have gone off the boil with a run of just one win in nine league matches dropping them to 11th place.
A 2-1 defeat at 10-man Bastia last time further increased the gloom enveloping Stade du Moustoir, and Gourcuff is refusing to offer any excuses.
"We put ourselves in impossible situations,'' Gourcuff said.
"We're not up to speed away from home. We need more movement.
"We're down to the bare bones in defence, but that's no excuse.
"It's been a while since we've played well.''
Defender Wesley Lautoa returns for the hosts after a one-match ban and offered a more positive assessment of his side's chances this weekend.
"We're going to come up against a good team, but we know we can beat them at home,'' said Lautoa.
"It's in our own hands. We really want to make up for last weekend. We want to play well and win the game.''
Gourcuff is without Bruno Ecuele Manga (knee), Mathieu Coutadeur (thigh) and Lucas Mareque (hernia), and also saw Alain Traore (thigh) and Arnaud Le Lan (back) break down in training this week, with both now major doubts for the match.
Toulouse come into the game in seventh place, six points adrift of league pacesetters Lyon following their impressive 3-0 victory over the leaders last weekend.
Wissam Ben Yedder hit a brace in that win to take his tally for the season to nine, but coach Alain Casanova has rejected the suggestion that Toulouse are becoming a one-man team.
"It would be easy to say that we knew Ben Yedder would have a great season, but we knew that we had to help him exploit his talent,'' he said.
"He played really well, as did the whole team.''
The visitors will be without Serge Aurier and the suspended Etienne Capoue.
