Evian coach Pascal Dupraz is hoping home advantage will prove crucial in tomorrow's clash with fellow Ligue 1 relegation strugglers Ajaccio.

Dupraz's men have slumped to 17th in the table after winning just one of their last seven games and are just a point above the relegation zone.

Ajaccio are doing little better. They have one more point but have won only once in nine matches since gaining a 4-2 victory in Toulouse in November.

Dupraz reckons Evian need 43 points in total to survive and, despite the season being well past the halfway mark, he remains optimistic over their prospects.

"I think the group has the qualities to stay in Ligue 1,'' he told the club's website

"There are still a lot of games to enable us to climb out of the relegation zone.

"The game against Ajaccio will see two teams of equal level. At home, we have an advantage but in football you cannot win on command.''

Ajaccio coach Albert Emon is able to field new signings Matthieu Chalmi and Dennis Oliech and is boosted by the return from injury of Ricardo Faty as his side look to complete the double following their 2-0 win in Corsica on September.

"With quality players, Evian are a dangerous team,'' he said.

"It will be for us to play our game and adapt to the climatic conditions.''
