Lille coach Rudi Garcia is convinced his club are not getting the respect they deserve for rescuing their season as they seek to make it six Ligue 1 wins in a row at home to Evian.

Garcia's men looked down and out at the turn of the new year but their fantastic recent run has lifted them to sixth place and within four points of the top three.

Garcia's men have also scored 13 goals in those five games - including last week's 3-1 win at Valenciennes - but Garcia believes the media have been slow to grasp the level of improvement.

Garcia said: "We took a lot of shots when things were not going so well and now things are better I don't see much positive writing - but it doesn't matter, it won't prevent us from continuing to improve.''

Garcia has a couple of selection concerns with central defenders Aurelien Chedjou and Marko Basa facing late fitness tests.

Evian eased their relegation fears with an emphatic 5-1 win over drop-zone rivals Sochaux last weekend but they still head into tomorrow's game only out of the bottom three on goal difference.

Evian will be without defender Fabrice Ehret, who has a shoulder injury but was also due to be suspended after being retrospectively banned for two games following an incident against Marseille last month.

Evian coach Pascal Dupraz said: "I feel sorry for Fabrice. I think the punishment is disproportionate. It bothers me that this has happened to him now because he had returned to form and held his position well.''
