Rochdale boss Keith Hill will have to do without captain Peter Cavanagh for the clash with Newport as he struggles with a niggling Achilles injury.

With the exception of Cavanagh, Hill will have a full squad to choose from.

George Donnelly is available after serving a three-match suspension for the red card he was shown against Accrington.

Donnelly's return is likely to see Graham Cummins drop to the bench, while Joe Bunney could miss out entirely.

Newport have Harry Worley available again for the trip.

The defender was suspended for their 3-2 victory over Crawley in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy in midweek after picking up his fifth yellow card of the campaign, but he is back in contention.

The Exiles' memorable comeback against the Reds saw influential centre-back Ismail Yakubu limp off with a hamstring problem, meaning he is a major doubt to feature at Spotland.

Robbie Willmott will hope to have done enough to keep his place, whether in attack or midfield, while Lenny Pidgeley looks set to return in goal after Jamie Stephens was handed a rare start on Tuesday night.
