Sheffield Wednesday have Lewis Buxton available for the visit of Blackburn.

The right-back was sent off during the 2-1 win over Barnsley on Saturday and was hit with a one-match ban that ruled him out of the trip to Bristol City.

Buxton was replaced by Kieran Lee for Easter Monday's draw but is expected to return as the Owls look to avoid slipping back into the bottom three.

Dave Jones is boosted by the return of midfielders Seyi Olofinjana and Stuart Holden to fitness. The loanees, who both made their Wednesday debuts against Barnsley, have overcome the knee injuries that ruled them out on Monday.

Jermaine Johnson is also fully fit after he was withdrawn early in the second half at Ashton Gate because of concerns over his hamstring, while Steve Howard is pushing for a first start at Hillsborough since joining from Hartlepool.

Grzegorz Sandomierski is set to make his full debut when Blackburn look to arrest their alarming slide down the npower Championship table.

The Polish goalkeeper, 23, came on for injured number one Jake Kean (knee) against Cardiff on Easter Monday, conceding two late goals in a 3-0 defeat to league leaders Cardiff.

Cartilage damage means Kean is sidelined for the season along with former England international Paul Robinson, who is facing six months on the sidelines after complications during back surgery resulted in a blood clot in the lung.

Midfielder Lee Williamson and forward duo Josh King and Nuno Gomes missed out in the Welsh capital due to illness but are back in contention.

The Olsson twins, Martin and Markus, are closing in on a return to fitness from their respective ankle and hamstring complaints but the trip to Hillsborough will come too soon.

On-loan QPR striker DJ Campbell is back with his parent club receiving treatment as he recovers from a broken metatarsal, while Adam Henley (hamstring), Bradley Orr (ribs) and Dickson Etuhu (knee) remain out.

Rovers and Wednesday have 47 points apiece, with only goal difference keeping them out of the bottom three.
