Lorient midfielder Kevin Monnet-Paquet has warned his side must not take struggling Troyes for granted when they aim to return to winning ways in Ligue 1 at the Stade Yves Allainmat tomorrow.
Christian Gourcuff's men currently sit seventh in the table but head into the game after last week's 2-0 defeat at Montpellier, which brought their run of five games unbeaten to an abrupt halt.
Monnet-Paquet, who returned to action in the Montpellier game, said: "The defeat was not alarming, but we have got to move on because the table is very tight, and we need to restore our confidence.
"Troyes are a good team who go forward and they are not in their proper place in the table. And we will not be taking them lightly because they deserved to win against Lyon last weekend.''
Jean-Marc Furlan's visitors still languish second bottom of the table but have begun to show signs of improvement, going two unbeaten before their unfortunate 2-1 home loss to Lyon last weekend.
It was a defeat that left Furlan feeling frustration - but he believes his side are firmly back on the right track after a difficult start to their Ligue 1 campaign.
Furlan said: "I think there is enormous potential in this team, but we have to cope with the deficit of the first few months. I was very disappointed last week, because we deserved to take at least a point from Lyon.''
