One of the Ivorians most important players, his creativity, bursts of acceleration and goal scoring flair can be used in a playmaking role, up front, through the middle or as a right-winger.

Kalou made a name for himself during six years with Feyenoord of Rotterdam, the highlight of his time there being victory in the 2002 UEFA Cup Final against Borussia Dortmund. Moved to France to play for Auxerre in 2003 and joined PSG last summer.

His younger brother Salomon, a striker with Feyenoord, though qualified to play for the Ivory Coast has applied for Dutch citizenship in the hope of getting a call from Holland boss Marco van Basten.
