Paris Saint-Germain return is no longer possible for me - Leonardo

Former Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo has ended speculation that he could return, saying it is "no longer possible" for him to go back to the Parc des Princes.

Leonardo left PSG in 2013 after he was given a suspension for pushing a referee, and the club have since struggled to replace him.

Speaking to Le Parisien, he said: "I will not be going back to PSG.

"First of all, I am not looking for work. So, if I do not have a particular feeling pushing me to do something, I will not do it. It is no problem for me.

"Ultimately, what happened with PSG now belongs to the past and it is no longer possible for me to return. When I left, it was a big decision and I knew that there would be consequences.

"It is like when a couple separates -- it is always difficult to then try to live under the same roof again."

Olivier Letang recently resigned from his role as sporting director and SFR Sport reported that former Porto sporting director Antero Henrique is holding talks over potentially replacing him.
