Grzegorz Krychowiak: My 'best' Paris Saint-Germain display so far

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak was pleased with his showing in the 3-1 Coupe de la Ligue round-of-16 win over Lille on Wednesday and is feeling good ahead of the remainder of the season.

The Poland international played the full 90 minutes and was more convincing than he has been in any of his other displays so far this campaign as Lucas Moura's double and Jese Rodriguez's goal put the defending champions into the quarterfinals.

Krychowiak said after the match that he was satisfied with his efforts and admitted teammate Marco Verratti makes it easier to deal with Unai Emery's possession-based style of play when using the 4-3-3 formation.

"Personally, I think it was my best performance since I arrived in Paris," the 26-year-old said. "I felt good physically and when on the ball. I am absolutely at 100 percent now and I enjoyed being on the pitch.

"I know very well that everything depends on hard work," he said. "I also knew I needed to be patient. I am optimistic looking ahead. With Verratti, we understand each other very well and it is easier on the ball when he is around."

Krychowiak has endured a difficult start to life at Parc des Princes, like many of PSG's summer signings, but will be hoping to kick on now after many of the capital club's fringe stars seized their opportunity to impress.

Emery's men were drawn at home to Metz in the final eight of the Coupe de la Ligue and the former Sevilla midfielder should be able to look forward to another start in that fixture in early January -- if not before.
