Nice's Mario Balotelli shouted at Bastia boss Francois Ciccolini in tunnel

Footage released by Canal+ shows Bastia coach Francois Ciccolini asking Nice striker Mario Balotelli after Friday's game: "Do you think I'm scared of you?"

On Sunday, the network tweeted footage of Ciccolini and Balotelli walking down the players' tunnel after the 1-1 draw at the Stade Furiani.

The Italy international appears to say something to Ciccolini as he walks by him, to which the Bastia boss clearly replies in French: "Do you think I'm scared of you or what?"

The coach is then heard saying in Italian: "Go f--- yourself!"

As Ciccolini departed for the Bastia dressing room, he yelled in French: "Where do you think you are?"

Balotelli had earlier used his Instagram account to complain that he was subjected to monkey chants during the match in Corsica.

Yesterday the result against Bastia was right.. we will work more and try to get our objective.. the referee was good too but I have a question for French people.. Is it normal that Bastia supporters make monkey noise end "uh uh" for the whole game and no one of the "commissions discipline " say nothing? So is racism LEGAL in France? Or only in Bastia ? Football is an amazing sport .. those people like Bastia supporters make it horrible ! VERGOGNA DAVVERO. UNE VRAIE HONTE .

Balotelli's teammate Alassane Plea told Telefoot after the game: "Yes, I can confirm it. We heard it during the warmup [and] during the game as well, monkey chants.

"At the end of the game he [Balotelli] was very, very upset. They insulted him the whole game. It's dreadful to hear these things on a football pitch."

In a brief statement on Saturday afternoon, the French Football League (LFP) said it "deplored all of the incidents" that happened on Friday. Before the match, Nice's team bus had been pelted by stones as it arrived at the stadium.

The LFP's disciplinary committee will start looking into the matters when it convenes on Thursday and once it has received further information from officials and both clubs.

Although Bastia said on Saturday they were not aware of any abuse taking place, they stressed they were at the LFP's disposal "so that all light is shed" on "this type of behaviour, which is by nature stupid and unacceptable."
