Rangers striker Kyle Lafferty could face Dunfermline on Saturday after a scan eased fears over his back injury.
Lafferty was forced off with the injury in the first half of his side's 1-0 defeat by Kilmarnock on Sunday, but tests have shown the injury is not serious and he will be monitored over the coming days with a view to playing at Ibrox on Saturday.
A statement on the club's official website read: "If he proves his fitness ahead of the home meeting with the Pars, it is expected he will play some part in the match."
Rangers are also hopeful that Carlos Bocanegra will overcome the minor hamstring problem that saw him miss the Rugby Park defeat.
And Steven Whittaker is hoping to recover from the Achilles knock that forced him off during last night's 2-1 friendly defeat by Hamburg.
