Everton striker Louis Saha has denied that he wants to move to PSG, after he was quoted as telling a French radio station that an offer from the Ligue 1 leaders "would be a difficult proposition to refuse".

Saha, 33, has less than a year left on his contract at Goodison Park and reports in the French press have suggested that the Toffees may look to cash-in on the former Manchester United star in the January transfer window.

Big-spending PSG have been tipped to make a bid for Saha, who last played club football in his homeland 11 years ago before moving to Fulham, and he was quoted as saying he would welcome the Parisian's overtures should they come knocking.

"Paris would be a difficult proposition to refuse, especially when you see the players who they are linked with," Saha was quoted as saying by RMC.

"PSG are a coherent team which is still under construction. They have an interesting project going on, though. It's always an interesting idea to be part of a project like the one at Paris Saint-Germain."

But Saha has reacted angrily on Twitter after being accused of trying to engineer a move back to Ligue 1, saying: "It's just nonsense about PSG stories. How lazy can be [sic] some journalists who are just trying to create rumours out of nothing."
