Chelsea's Gael Kakuta has joined Bolton on loan until January 1, the London club have confirmed.

The French winger follows in the footsteps of Daniel Sturridge, who had a successful loan spell at the Reebok Stadium last season.

Kakuta, 20, also spent much of last term on loan at Fulham, making seven appearances.
