Sunderland are interested in bringing Tottenham striker Peter Crouch to the Stadium of Light, according to reports.
Black Cats boss Steve Bruce has made no secret of his hopes to add firepower to his side before the close of the transfer window on Wednesday.
And it is suggested Crouch is a top target, amid claims a £10 million bid has been lodged. But Spurs are rumoured to be holding out for a bid in excess of that figure, casting doubt over whether a deal will be struck.
Crouch, 30, re-joined Spurs from Portsmouth in 2009 for £9 million and has since made 73 Premier League appearances for the club, scoring 12 times.
Spurs boss Harry Redknapp told Sky Sports News: "It's up to Crouchy. I've had Peter at a few clubs. Good player, great guy as well. But I suppose with Adebayor coming in, it's an area that we are a little bit overloaded in and he's one that people want, so if we could do a deal with someone, then it's a possibility.''
