Michel Bastos could stay at Lyon as Juventus have failed to meet the club's €15 million asking price.
Juve had been expected to sign Bastos, who turns 28 next week, as they look to bolster their squad after another disappointing season in Serie A, but the clubs have failed to come to an agreement.
The Brazil international has two years remaining on his current deal, but he has apparently been offered an extension and would be happy to remain at the Stade Gerland.
"Nothing will distract me," he told L'Equipe. "I have many things to prove, whether at Lyon or somewhere else. If I stay, I know I will have a very important role. Psychologically, I'm ready for anything."
