Napoli star Marek Hamsik has revealed he is content to stay at the club despite expressing an interest in joining AC Milan earlier this summer.
Hamsik, 23, has attracted the attention of a number of top European clubs after an impressive campaign with Napoli, but any move appears unlikely after president Aurelio De Laurentiis placed a €100 million price-tag on the Slovakia international.
Hamsik has now reassured fans that he will not push for an exit. "I am happy to remain," he said. "I am very happy at Napoli."
De Laurentiis added: "If someone wants to go, you don't keep them. Those who want to stay with us will stay. Those who don't will go."
Hamsik, who joined Napoli from Brescia in 2007, scored 11 goals in 37 league appearances to help the club finish third in Serie A last season. He is under contract for another four years.
