Udinese owner Giampaolo Pozzo claims Napoli have joined the race to sign Alexis Sanchez.
Sanchez has been linked with a number of clubs around Europe including Inter Milan, Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea, but the Chile winger was widely expected to join Barcelona after expressing a preference for the Camp Nou.
However, Pozzo has now revealed that Napoli - who will feature in next season's Champions League group stage after finishing third in Serie A - have joined the race for his services.
"Sanchez playing for Napoli? Nothing is impossible," Pozzo told Radio Kiss Kiss. "[Napoli president] Aurelio De Laurentiis wants to do things on a grand scale, seeing as he presented an interesting economic offer for Sanchez.
"It's a complicated operation and we await the end of the Copa America to work out who are the real contenders. The player's intentions will be decisive, as these deals need all three parties to agree."
